Scholastic's Arctic Adventure Book Fair

Classroom Visits during the school day

Family Night Event 6pm-8pm

The Arctic Adventure Book Fair is coming to Hamilton School on Tuesday, September 24. Each classroom will visit the fair during their assigned time during the school day and there will be a Family Night Event from 6-8pm with a raffle, a guess how many game, prizes, and more!  In 3 easy steps you can give your student a secure, cash-free way to shop the fair.

 The amount you select as your student's spending limit will appear as a temporary hold (or pending charge) on your credit card. You will only be charged for what is purchased, and after the book fair ends, the hold will expire and the funds will be released back to your credit card. 

How to step up EWallet...

Step 1:Click here and create an  EWallet account 

Step 2: Add funds to your child's EWallet. If you are able to print the EWallet receipt, please send it to school with your child the day of the Fair. No access to a printer? Don't worry! There will be a list of students with pre-authorized amounts at the Book Fair checkout. 

Step 3: Shop the Fair!! 

It's so easy!! NO need for cash or remembering to send in a check. EWallet registration is open from now until the day of the Fair. If you have more than one child shopping the Fair, separate EWallet accounts must be set up. Questions? Email Heather Olenick at

 AM Shift 9:00 - 11:30

 PM Shift 12:30 - 3:00

Tear Down: Wednesday September 25, 9:00am - 10:30am

Please email Vera Ng at if you are able to help.  Parents are always welcome to come to the Fair to shop with your child during their assigned class time.  This request is for volunteers who can help set-up, tear-down, assist younger children with their purchases/welcome classes/or run the cash register the day of the fair.  


Box Top Collection
It is Box Tops season again!! Send in your Box Tops by Thursday, October 24th to help us reach our goal of $1,000 raised!  Each Box Top equals $.10 for our school. You can help by purchasing items with the Box Top logo, clipping the logo and sending it in to school. Please use collection sheets (to be provided), zip locks, paper clips, rubber bands or envelopes (make sure they are not expired!) and be sure to note your child’s class because the class with the most Box Tops will win an extra recess, pizza lunch or ice pops!  (Your child can either hand them in to their teacher or put them in pirate treasure chest in the Hamilton lobby). Ever wonder what the HSA does and how it improves your children’s overall educational experience at           Hamilton School?
Please join us at the Glen Rock Inn to learn about all the exciting programs that happen throughout the year.   We will have representatives from all the activities; including color run, book fair, multicultural, and our spring social to name a few. This is a great way to meet people and learn more about the partnership between the HSA and our school. Hamilton School 4th Annual Progressive Dinner   

October 19th @ 7 pm

 Did you know?

Events like this make it possible to fund ALL assemblies. Enrich the curriculum and classrooms. They do!! Getting to know fellow parents, have a wonderful night out and win some amazing prizes is just an added bonus. Here’s how we do it:

  • Start the evening with a cocktail hour at a selected Hamilton family home.

  • Mingle and participate in a putting contest. Winner takes home a sweet prize.

  • Then, the party splits into groups of 6 couples to enjoy dinner and beverages at a host house. Dinner groups will be formed BY GRADE.

  • During dinner, voting will take place on how the HSA will use the money raised during this event.  NOT TO BE MISSED. VOTE AND SEE THE CHANGES YOU WISH FOR. 

  • After dinner, everyone has the chance to meet again for Dessert at the After Dinner Party. Location: Backroom @ GRINN. Those who make it all the way to the GRINN will have the chance to grab a raffle ticket for an additional fantastic prize.

Federated HSA Online Directory
The Federated HSA Online Directory (the Directory) is a great tool to help families connect with each other in the Glen Rock School District. It's a very convenient way to to find contact information,  parent and child names, and school classes.  All families with children in the Glen Rock School District may be included in the Directory.  The Directory is made available through the MobileArq website and the MobileArq app. 
The 2019-20 update for the Directory will occur in early October.  At that time, there will be a short (7-10 day) blackout period while the new data is being uploaded and tested.  The 2018-19 Directory data will remain available via the MobileArq website and the MobileArq app until the blackout period begins.  In addition, PDF versions of the 2018-19 directory are available by sending a request to
If a family does not want its information included in the 2019-20 version of the Directory, there is an opt-out form within each family's profile in the Genesis system under "Messages". The title is "Parent Handbook Opt-out".  Parents have the opportunity to opt-out until September 20th.  After that, all the families who have not opted-out will be included in the 2019-20 Directory.
